Brene’ Brown gives a fabulous talk on owning your vulnerability at the TED Conference.
Do you have the courage to be imperfect? We typically don’t do vulnerability well. I’ll be the first to admit that vulnerability is not my friend. I’m a closet control freak. I come off as laid back, but that’s just a veneer for my need to control the world around me. Too often I live like everything relies upon me and that God is just there on the sidelines waiting for me to screw up. But it is not that way.
As I listened to Ms Brown speak, I felt the possibility for change. It doesn’t have to be this way. She put it well when she said, “Vulnerability is “the birthplace for joy, creativity, belonging and love…”
So here’s to taking steps towards that…
How do you handle vulnerability?
